about
So many physical journals lie in the graveyard that is my bookshelf, each one representing a failed attempt at emulating Bridget Jones. Countless online diaries on Tumblr and Blogspot also lay abandoned after a binge-watching of MTV's Awkward a few years ago. I needed something that was just as fun as cutting and pasting magazines but not as expensive as buying them. Thus, Crash.1996 (yes, like the movie) was born with all of the fun and none of the commitment.
Each page is never planned ahead and always done on the spot. There are times where I'll make multiple spreads in a month and other times where I won't make any at all. Some spreads take longer than others, and each is accompanied with a song that I listened to while creating it (Spotify playlist available above). Each spread is meant to share a piece of myself with the hope of inspiring others to tap in to their creativity.
